So if you read part 1 of my Jenny Craig experience, you know what I loved most about this program is the sheer level of convenience. If you dread planning meals or you make a grocery list and then end up grabbing ‘quick’ meals anyway, this was made for you! It can be ideal for the two weeks I tried the program or for much longer – either way, it’s perfect for when you’re in a super busy season because the planning is already done for you so you don’t have to think or lift a finger, other than to microwave your food 😉
When you sign up for Jenny Craig, you automatically tap into a whole new world of weight loss with Jenny‘s eTools. Right when you log in, you’ll have access to easy to use tools designed to keep you motivated as you head toward your goal. The planner makes it easy to create your menu and activity plan. You get to customize your weekly menu with Jenny‘s Cuisine® and your own healthy choices… how cool is that?
I’m not always in a position to eat a meal at home or take a meal with me so the ability to gameplan with my Jenny Craig consultant was huge. This is one of the things that makes the Jenny Craig program different. The one on one consulting helps you through any situation where diets may have failed in the past (vacation time, business travel, social gatherings, etc). With Jenny Craig, you always have someone there to cheer you on, motivate you and keep you on track!
The program is backed by hard science as demonstrated by a 2010 independent two-year clinical trial published in the Journal of the American Medical Association, which showed participants on the Jenny Craig program lost three times more weight than they did through dieting on their own.
What’s more, The U.S. News and World Report published a ranking of diet programs in early January. The Jenny Craig program ranked #10 in best overall diets that were evaluated in the study. The Jenny Craig program also ranked high in several other categories including Best Weight Loss Diets, Best Commercial Diets, among others. Review the complete U.S. News and World Report to see how well the Jenny Craig program ranked in different categories for 2017. Pretty impressive!
My main takeaways? With Jenny Craig, members develop a healthy relationship with food, build an active lifestyle, and create a more balanced approach to living. They understand and overcome the internal/external challenges to healthy eating, identify enjoyable ways to move more, learn positive coping strategies, and reframe their beliefs and attitudes to better support their weight management goals.
