Friday Favorites {Volume 6} GOOD NEWS EDITION!

So it’s been a little while since we’ve talked friday favorites… If there is anything you are especially loving, be sure to share it with us in the comments!
Here are a few of my faves this friday!
Now that I’m blogging, I find myself taking way more pictures than I ever had before! For years I dreamed of the day I could shoot with my very own DSLR … I was so happy & grateful when that day finally came and I got my green Cheeky Lime bag to protect that baby in, I knew I wanted to do something to give back. I haven’t blogged much about it yet, but I love doing volunteer photography for great causes of all kinds – ministries, adoptions, soldier homecomings, births – you name it! In fact this ‘Live Free Photography‘ outreach of mine played a huge role in how this blog got it’s start  On that note, if you have no photography budget but are in need of an amateur photographer in the Tri-State area, always feel free to reach out to me here or at sybil@shelivesfree.com.If you’re a wannabe photographer like me, you might want to

check out the sale on Cheeky Lime DSLR bags on Amazon right now – from what I understand it won’t last long as these bags are hard to keep in stock!

Amazon is also my favorite sale destination of the week for back to school shopping. Since to me, the words “back to school” sound just a little like swear words, I tend to wait till the very… last… days to face the obligatory back to school shopping. With free shipping for all orders over $25, I can “fix it and forget it” – Thank you Amazon.

Y’all. A letter I wrote to some of the most dear people to me on this planet has suddenly seen 36.5k views in less than 48 hours. It seems God has answered my prayer that this post written a few months back would ultimately find it’s way into the hands of the women who needed to read it. It certainly doesn’t apply to everyone, not even every single parent, but the Lord has moved mountains to send it to those it does apply to  Have you read it yet? You can find it here: Dear Single Mom (and Sometimes Single Mom) So yeah. I think I’ll call that the fave link of the week! 😉

Single Mom
Have yourself a great weekend!  And let me know how YOU are below! Please and thank you?

I have always wanted a “real” camera bag… I am one of the few photography bloggers (although I am more of a mommy/homeschool blogger now) I know who doesn’t have a pretty bag and strap cover, lol. Just never in the budget :/

Awe I so totally get that! As I posted it took many years of hoping, wishing, waiting, before I could get there! No pretty strap cover here either, though ; ) Thanks for visiting!

  4. Since blogging in 2010, I know I take much more photos in case I want to use them in a post! But, right now our good camera is not working so I have to rely on my iPhone 🙁 And I don’t have a good, cute camera bag either 🙂 I LOVE Amazon (a little too much!) Thanks for sharing these great Friday favorites of yours!

So excited about the response to the letter. I’m not a mom yet but it makes me so happy to see that you wrote something that resonated so deeply with the incredible women in that are doing the work of two people. That’s amazing, Sybil 🙂

I love the idea of doing volunteer photography! Not only is it a great way to give back, but also an excellent way to practice and become a better photographer. Like you, when I started blogging I started taking a whole bunch more pictures, and the day I got my camera was VERY exciting! I definitely want to look into doing something like that. What an awesome gift to be able to give people that may not be able to capture those special moments in any other way! Thanks for the idea!
